5 Day Intensive Medical Massage:
A Clinical Approach:

You will learn:

The five-day intensive combines what we have learned in Segment one and Segment two, and puts it into a practical systematic format that can be applied in any clinical setting. We will review practice management and answer any questions about working with physicians and insurance issues. We will focus on the key elements of the training such as Muscle Testing, Orthopedic Assessment Tests, Trigger Points, Myofascial Release, and restoring postural integrity which will make your work even more powerful.

The program will begin with a review of the anatomical structures and the principles of medically oriented massage therapy,  and is followed by documenting postural distortion patterns, and assessment tests. Next we begin with extensive hands-on demonstrations and exchanges. We will begin with the lower extremities and move up to the back, neck and finally the upper extremities. When we complete the exchanges, we will document the changes, which have taken place.

The therapist will develop competence and confidence to address all of the major conditions generally prescribed by the physician.

 Conditions covered will include:

Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, Medial and Lateral Shin Splints, Ankle Sprains and Strains, Patello Femoral Pain Syndrome, Chondromalacia Patella, Piriformis Syndrome, Lumbago, Sciatica, Pseudo Sciatica, Sacral and Coxygeal Pain, Scoliosis, Lordosis, Kyphosis, Whiplash, Torticollis, Cervical Strain and Range of Motion Limitations, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Medial and Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis and Golfer's Elbow), DeQuervain's Syndrome, Rotator Cuff Injuries, Adhesive Capulitis and various strain and sprain conditions.
